Economic InterventionEvery day our establishment makes economic decisions that affect our country andourselves. Some of these decisions are good and benefit our lives greatlyhowever, many of our administrations decisions, such as where our tax money shouldgo, are not in our best interests. The Canadian government, although it istightening up its measures now, has been very easy with our hard earned taxmoney. Things like government officials receiving unreasonable benefits,government loans be given out like water, or government subsidizing ofmixed companies and services that dont need it. These are all indicationsthat Canada needs less government intervention. One large example ofgovernment over-involvement is in the case of our punitive facilities andprisons.Should a person who has broken the law be given mitigate lodgings and better carethan person who is a law imperishable citizen? We see examples such as prisonsbeing outfitted for the care of inmates children. This is an scene of action in whichgovernment money is being improperly spent. Money that is being intaked in theseareas should be being put to better use in areas such as health and welfare.People who are throw in the towel and law abiding should be receiving this money to bettertheir lives not mortal who has had no previous respect for the laws of ourcountry. Most inmates have free entre to physical training facilities thatwould cost us three hundred to quaternary hundred dollars per year. All inmates areguaranteed a meal, three time a day, when a large portion of the freepopulation can save afford one meal a day. The prison facilities purportthousands of tax-payer dollars to arouse and maintain suitable environments.Yet many Canadian citizens who are unemployed, who cannot get work, are livingon the street or in contradictory shelters. Why should someone in jail get betterbenefits than someone trying to make it legally in our society? However, itseems that our government has a cer tain affinity to people who break its setlaws.
